- 1). Disconnect the Zune player and restart your computer by clicking the Start button, clicking the small arrow next to the power icon, and selecting "Restart." Reconnect the Zune once the computer has rebooted and try the sync again.
- 2). Restart the Zune player by holding the top of the Zune pad and the Back button simultaneously. Restarting the Zune will resolve most common issues.
- 3). Try connecting the Zune to a different port on your Vista-based computer. If the Zune will sync when plugged into one USB port and not another, the issue is likely your USB port.
- 4). Disconnect the Zune and update your Zune software. To do this, open the Zune software, click "Settings," and select "Software." Click "General" and then "Check for Updates." Reconnect the Zune once you have the most recent version of the Zune software.
