    • 1). Lay the amplifier on its "face" or upside down in a safe place to gain easier access underneath the chassis. Remove the speaker wire connector from the chassis as well as the reverb RCA connectors.

    • 2). Remove the tube covers of the preamp tubes from the chassis by gently turning each one either direction 180 degrees, pushing the spring inside the cover from the respective tube.

    • 3). Remove all of the preamp tubes and replace them with the new tubes by carefully placing the new tubes in each socket and gently twisting the tubes in either direction until the pins of the tube line up with respective socket. The tube will only go in the socket one way and should easily slide in once aligned correctly. Do not force the tube into the socket to avoid causing damage to the socket or breaking the tube. Replace the preamp tube covers after all preamp tubes have been replaced.

    • 4). Remove the rectifier tube and replace with the new one by gently moving the pins of the tube to line up with the socket.

    • 5). Remove the two output tubes and replace them with the new 6V6GT output tubes, being careful to line up the pins before being settled into the socket. These tubes and the rectifier tube will have a built-in plastic guide that will assist in lining up the pins of the tube correctly.
