Jesus Weeps Again!

Many people express their feelings about things in so many ways.
For Jesus it takes more than a casual expression.
The Bible tells us a story of how Jesus expressed concern over the unbelief of the great majority of people whom He expected should know some cardinal truths about God, but they did not.
When Lazarus died, Jesus went to visit his family members, not only to console and commiserate with them on the sudden death of Lazarus, but also to prove to them that He is actually the resurrection and life.
He expected the people to really understand one thing which they failed to do - that God has the power to do all things.
At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus was shocked to the marrows because He saw that almost everybody there doubted His Person and ability to do the impossible.
This was why He wept.
He wept over the ignorance of all the people, even the family members of His friend, Lazarus.
Same thing happened to Joseph.
He was another great man who wept often.
When his brothers cast him inside a pit, there was no record of him weeping, neither was there any at the time they sold him out.
His times of weeping were all after he was placed in a prominent position.
Usually, mourning occurs when unfair things happen; but it is rarely seen in men who have come to power.
Joseph displayed exactly the opposite.
He was faithful during times of obscurity and adversity, and he wept tenderly when he was well-known.
We need more of Joseph's traits among God's people today.
The Bible had record of the anguish of his soul when his brothers cast him into the pit.
After that, though Joseph's tears were always linked with seeing his family (at least six occasions).
He cried when his brothers began to repent, and when he saw Benjamin, his younger brother.
He wept loudest when he made himself known to his brothers.
Though Joseph cried at the re-union with his father, and again at his death, but the weeping that most broke his heart was when his brothers came to him with renewed fear of retribution.
They still doubted whether his heart was toward them.
Surely, the Lord Jesus too, is most pained when we come to Him and recount all our failures, doubting His heart.
We constantly make Him to weep when we keep forgetting His constant, unchanging love for us.
Our attitudes make Jesus to constantly weep!
