    • 1). Plug the wireless receiver or transceiver unit for the keyboard and mouse into an empty USB slot on your computer.

    • 2). Remove the battery access cover on the bottom of the mouse and install the included batteries. Do the same for the wireless keyboard.

    • 3). Wait for your operating system (Windows, Linux or MacOS) to recognize the new wireless keyboard and mouse. The operating system will automatically configure the new devices for use on the computer.

    • 4). Restart the computer if prompted to do so by the operating system. If not, go to the next step.

    • 5). Insert the installation CD into the CD/DVD drive on your computer. After the installation program starts, follow the on-screen instructions to install the keyboard and mouse utility software. In most cases, this software is not required to use the keyboard or mouse; however, it will allow you to take advantage of any special features of the devices.

    • 6). Press the "Power" or "On" button on the bottom of wireless keyboard and mouse if the units have one (most do not).

    • 7). Press the "Sync" button on the wireless receiver. Depending on the keyboard and mouse you install, you might have to press buttons on the bottom of those devices as well. Some models will label the sync button as "Locate" or "Connect," however, all three terms have the same meaning.

    • 8). Test the keyboard and mouse to ensure they are working properly. Once you know the new keyboard and mouse are working as they should, power off the computer and disconnect the old keyboard and mouse.
