How to Photograph Fast
- 1). Locate the "Continuous Mode" on your camera on the "Settings" in the main menu. Not all cameras have this feature. Some cameras may call it "burst mode." Choose this setting if you have it. Keep in mind that different cameras have different features and work differently, so refer to your user manual for your camera's specifics.
- 2). Select the shutter speed for your continuous mode if your camera allows more than one option. The more shots you want to take, the lower you should set your shutter speed. A setting of 2.5 FPS means you will be able to take five shots in five seconds. Most decent cameras will allow for a minimal setting of 2.5, but more expensive cameras can shoot even faster.
- 3). Frame your photograph as you would normally. On some cameras, this requires you to depress the shoot button halfway. When you're ready to begin taking your fast photographs, depress and hold the shoot button. As soon as you release the shoot button, the picture-taking process will stop. Depending upon your camera, you could do upward of 150 shots without stopping or you may only be able to do a specified number of shots in a burst.
