How to Connect Extra Speakers to an LG TV
- 1). Power off the LG television. If you keep the television on while connecting the extra speakers there is a chance you can receive a shock from the electrical hardware.
- 2). Set up the surround sound receiver (if you are using a surround sound system). This is the device that controls all of the audio outputs. You want the receiver to be near to the LG television.
- 3). Connect the additional speakers to the receiver. All of the speakers are going to have a red and white RCA outlet on the back of them. Insert a red and white RCA cable into the back of the speaker and plug them into the "Out" port on the rear of the receiver. If you are not using a receiver and are just using the speakers, simply bypass the receiver and plug the RCA cables into the "Out" audio ports on the LG television.
- 4). Insert another RCA cable into the "In" port on the back of the audio receiver. Connect the other end into the "Out" port on the back of the LG television. Power on the television and the surround sound receiver. Set the surround sound system to "Aux." This imports the audio and plays it over the speakers.
