    • Sony voice recorders offer MP3, AAC and WAV formats, depending on the model. All Sony voice recorders have Voice Operated Recording (VOR) technology, which allows the device to save space by not recording silent moments. Mid-range and higher-end models include personalized folders and voice transcription software integration.

    • As of August 2010, Sony's line of digital voice recorders range in price from $39.95 for a basic 2 GB flash-memory model to $299.95 for a top-of-the-line model. The higher-end models come with Dragon NaturallySpeaking dictation-to-text software.
