    • 1). Write the executive summary section, which includes a mission statement that describes the overall objectives of your business division, as well as a summary of other important information such as the date your division began, number of employees in your division, description of your division's product and service offerings and financial information about your division.

    • 2). Create the market analysis section. Mirror this section with your overall's company's business plan and describe your industry description and outlook, your target market, market tests related to your division and an analysis of your competitors.

    • 3). Write the division description section, which expands upon what you described in the executive summary. Include information about the nature of your business division, the marketplace needs your division is trying to satisfy and ways in which your division plans on satisfying those market needs.

    • 4). Include an organizational and management section in your business plan. Describe the structure of your organization and your division, the legal structure of your company and the management profiles within your overall business as well as your organization.

    • 5). Write a detailed overview of your division's marketing and sales strategies. Discuss things like your strategy for increasing revenues, distribution channel strategy, marketing strategy and sales strategy.

    • 6). Describe the product and service line of your particular division. Write a detailed description of your division's product or service offering, your product or service lifecycle, any legal implications and research and development initiatives in which your division is involved in or is planning on being involved in.

    • 7). Conclude your business plan by summarizing each of the previous sections and then writing a formal request for increased funding or action steps that you are requesting from your company to help your division accomplish its goals and objectives.
