How to Cite an Online Pamphlet in MLA
- 1). Write in an author or editor if the website gives author or editor names. Online pamphlets might or might not provide an author name. Type a period after the author's name.
- 2). Write in the title of the pamphlet. This follows the website name or publication name, depending on the source. For example, a pamphlet on digestive health might have a title like "Maintaining a Healthy Digestive System." Put the title in quotation marks and type a period after the title.
- 3). Type in the title of the magazine, journal name or similar name the pamphlet is published in if available. Italicize the title and type a period at the end. If the pamphlet is not in an online magazine, journal or similar online source, this is not necessary.
- 4). Type in the website name. Type in the name of the website where the pamphlet was found and type a comma after the name. If using an abbreviation such as "mag" for magazine, type a period after the abbreviation followed by a comma.
- 5). Put the date the pamphlet was published. Type the date with the day first, the month abbreviated to three letters (unless it is a three- or four-letter month) and the year. Put a period after the abbreviation if the month is a long month such as "Jan." and type another period after the year.
- 6). Copy and paste the website address and type a period.
- 7). Type in the date the pamphlet was accessed. Use the same day, month and year format. Type a period at the end.
