- 1). Turn on the printer.
- 2). Click the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of your computer's desktop. Click "Control Panel." Choose "Printers and other Hardware." Select "Printers and Faxes."
- 3). Double-click the "Canon i550" icon. Click "File" in the main menu, scroll down and click "Printing Preferences." Hit the "Maintenance" tab.
- 4). Click the "Cleaning" button. Select "All colors" to be cleaned and click "Execute."
- 5). Click the "OK" button.
- 6). Print a sample page and examine whether the quality has improved.
- 7). If the quality has not improved, repeat Steps 2 and 3. Click the "Deep Cleaning" button this time. Select "All colors" to be cleaned and click "Execute." Click the "OK" button.
