- 1). Download Blackberry Theme Studio from the Blackberry website. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.
- 2). Open a graphics program of your choice. Photoshop, Paint and GIMP are all program options. Create a new file of any size and design a background image for your theme. Save the finished file as a JPG.
- 3). Launch Blackberry Theme Studio. Click the "Home Screen" button in the "Inspector" bar.
- 4). Click "Background." From the "Open" window, choose the background you created in your graphics program. Click "Open" after you've selected it.
- 5). Click the "Banners" button and arrange the icons. The banners appear at the top of the screen and often include battery life, signal strength and unread messages.
- 6). Click "File" and choose "Export." Select "Install" from the dialog box. Enter a theme name and type in your Blackberry password.
- 7). Plug your Blackberry Storm into your computer using a USB cord. Press the "Ok" button in the Theme Studio dialog box.
- 8). Wait for the theme to transfer to your Storm. When asked if you want to activate the theme, select "Yes."
