How to Hook Up a DVD/VCR Player & a Cable Box to an LCD TV
- 1). Connect the ends of one set of RGB component cables to the red, green and blue "Video Out" jacks on the back of the cable box. The color-coded plugs insert straight into the jacks.
- 2). Plug the other ends of the RGB cables into the DVD/VCR's "Video In" jacks, using the red, green and blue color codes to match the plugs to the jacks.
- 3). Connect one set of white and red audio cables to the left and right "Audio Out" jacks on the cable box.
- 4). Plug the other ends of the audio cables into the left (white) and right (red) "Audio In" jacks on the back of the DVD/VCR.
- 5). Connect the second set of RGB component video cables to the "Video Out" jacks on the DVD/VCR player.
- 6). Plug the other ends of the cables into the LCD TV's "Video In" jacks.
- 7). Connect the second set of audio cables to the "Audio Out" jacks on the DVD/VCR player and the "Audio In" jacks on the LCD TV.
- 8). Tune the DVD/VCR player and the LCD TV to channel 3 or 4 to watch cable programming.
- 9). Use the remote control for the cable box or the channel buttons on the box to select a channel for viewing.
