- 1). Go to garmin.com on your Web browser and navigate to the "Products" tab. Click "On the Road," then "Automotive" and then "Discontinued."
- 2). Scroll down and select the Nuvi 260. Click "Software" and "Download." Agree to the terms and conditions, and click "Download." Save the file to the computer, and open it when the download finishes.
- 3). Connect the Nuvi 260 to the computer with a USB cable. When the computer recognizes the device, the update process begins. Wait for the update to complete, then disconnect the Nuvi 260.
