- 1). Remove the lower dash panel on the driver's side, about where your knees sit, using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the panel off of the dashboard and set it on the floorboard. Open the glove box and locate the stopper at the base of the glove box on both sides. Push in the stoppers with your hands and allow the glove box to fall open all the way. Remove the bolt in the upper left corner of the glove box hole using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket, and do the same with the bolt on the lower left corner.
- 2). Remove the two screws just above the power adapter in the middle of the dashboard using the Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove the two Phillips-head screws on the left side of that same panel using the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the panel down and away from the dashboard, and unplug the power adapter harness using your hands.
- 3). Look underneath the stereo and locate the silver bracket underneath the radio. Unbolt the four screws using the Phillips-head screwdriver. Unplug the light blue and brown harnesses from the back of the stereo using your hands, then push the stereo and climate control panel away from the dashboard from the backside until it breaks free from the dash.
- 4). Pull the assembly away from the dashboard. Unplug the wiring and antenna leads from the back of the bezel and deck, then place the bezel face down in your lap. Unbolt the stock stereo from the dash bezel bracket using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket, then pull the stereo out of the bezel.
