    • 1). Choose a company name and check its availability by visiting the Registrar of Companies website. If so, print out the required Companies Name Search and Reservation Form (Form 6). Fill out the form and submit it at the Registrar of Companies office with a processing fee of $2,500 JMD ($28.35 USD). This process will take approximately one day. Once the name is approved, it will be automatically reserved for ninety days so no one else can use it during that time.

    • 2). File the company's Articles of Association and have them stamped by the Stamp Commissioner. The fee for the stamp duty is $500 JSD ($5.67 USD) and takes approximately one day.

    • 3). Submit the following forms to the Registrar of Companies: the declaration of Compliance (Form 2), the Particulars of Shares (Form 3), the Notice of Registered Office Form (Form 17), Notice of Appointment of Directors (Form 23) and Notice of Appointment of Company Secretary (Form 20). The cost is $10,000 JSD (approximately $113.40 USD) plus an additional $2,000 JSD (approximately $22.68 USD) per submitted form. All forms can be found at the Registrar of Companies website. This will take three to four days. If all documents are approved, the Registrar of Companies will assign the company a designated company number and the certificate of incorporation.

    • 4). Apply for a National Insurance Scheme reference number from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. This is done by completing the Application For National Insurance Number form, which is available on the Ministry's website. There is no application fee required, and the reference number will be issued in two days.

    • 5). Register with the Collector of Taxes and obtain a Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN). The TRN will be used to file annual taxes, which have a deadline of March 15. The company must submit the following documents and forms; a completed application for TRN number (Form 1), the National Insurance Scheme number, the Articles of Association, the TRN of each of director, and a certified copy of the certificate of incorporation. This process will take two days and is free of charge.
