Stocking Stuffers: Let"s Get Digital!

Christmas is just days away. Breaking a sweat yet? There are some disciplined Christmas shoppers who are ready for Christmas. Smirking at the rest of us. As they laze on couches gazing at the already-decorated Christmas tree. Sipping exotic-looking drinks.

Maybe you are lucky and have the major Christmas gifts bought and wrapped. But, you still want to get a few little things. Stocking stuffer gifts. You see hordes of these last-minute stocking stuffers (the human variety) hanging out in drugstores right about now.

They are the normally-sane individuals, now racing up and down the aisles, coattails knocking over displays. Boxes of all sizes are falling from their arms, tripping them as they swoop in for little bottles of shampoo. The size of airline drinks. What is anyone going to do with that amount of shampoo, anyway? Put it in the birdbath?

And why are denture holders a popular Christmas stocking stuffer item? Does poor Aunt Mabel only get a a place for her dentures on Christmas? Toothpaste. Another popular stocking stuffer. Nestled right in the toe of the sock with the candy.

It's true. You know you can't go wrong with these necessary stocking stuffers. Everyone uses soap, shampoo and toothpaste. Although you do wonder about Uncle Harold, sometimes. So fill your Christmas stockings to your heart's content. Watch their smiles light up the room. You done good!

Innovative stocking stuffers have hit on a great idea. You know, the ones drinking egg nog. Still smirking. Would you like to know what they did for Christmas stocking stuffers? They went "digital". Say what? Ask Aunt Mabel. She's been digital for years. Digital downloads, to be more exact. Go to your computer. There's nothing that you cannot download.

If your book lovers also like to listen to books-on-tape, you can purchase most any book of fiction online. You'll just have to "burn" it to a CD for the stocking stuffer. Same for your music lovers. Go to
your favorite search engine and type in exactly what you're looking to buy. Don't worry if you've never "burned" before. Most sites have instructions. If you're still perplexed, ask Aunt Mabel.

If you have readers of the inspirational and motivational genre, those too, can be found and downloaded, printed off and tied with a red ribbon. Just type the keywords in the search engine. If you know a certain title, you're over half way there. If there's someone on your Christmas gift list who is looking for work or wants to find a way to earn money on their computer, there's no shortage of downloadable eBooks to guide and teach them. Instantly.

Hint around if you're not sure what your gift receiver likes. So there's still enough time to buy those stocking stuffers. Heck, if you go "digital", you can even get your major gifts. Print them off. Or "burn" them. And wrap 'em up! Then go have some egg nog and smirk at the Christmas tree.
