- 1). Check with your mobile phone operator before sending text messages to phones in other countries. The price of international text messaging vary by operator and by destination country.
- 2). Create the text message you wish to send to your contact in India. Writing a text message at this stage is no different than writing a text message that would be sent to anyone else. Be aware that not all phones are able to receive picture attachments.
- 3). Send your text message to the recipient in India. Before the recipient's number, input "01191" without the quote marks if you are sending an SMS from the United States. If you are sending a text message from Europe, input "+91" without the quote marks before the telephone number.
