    • 1). Lay out all of your materials on a large work space. Decide how you are going to lay out your message center and mark each section with a pencil.

    • 2). Mask off the section where you are going to be painting the magnetic paint. Following manufacturers instructions, paint this section only with the magnetic paint and let dry thoroughly. Remove tape when paint is completely dry.

    • 3). Mask off section that you will be painting with the chalk board paint. Again, following the manufacturer's instructions, paint the section with your chalk board paint and let dry completely. Remove the tape when the paint has had an ample amount of time to dry.

    • 4). Hot glue the piece of cork board in the spot you have decided upon.

    • 5). Hot glue the dry erase board in the spot you have decided on. If the dry erase board came in a frame, you can easily remove the frame so that just the dry erase board remains. This will keep the message board flat and will not interfere with the poster frame that you will be adding to the message center in the step below.

    • 6). Place the poster frame around the particle board and hot glue all the way around the edges to secure.

    • 7). Turn the message board over and attach the picture hanger per the manufacturer's instructions.
