Samsung SPH A640 Instructions
- 1). Unlock your A640 phone. Press the red "End" button to turn the phone on, and then press the key underneath the word "Unlock" on your screen. You will be prompted to input the four-digit code that you received when you purchased the phone. If you don't remember the code, try typing in 0000, 6285, the last four digits of your Social Security number, or the last four digits of your wireless phone number.
- 2). Set up your phone's voicemail. To access voicemail setup, press and hold the "1" key. You will be prompted to type in a four-digit passcode and to record your name and voice mail greeting.
- 3). Press the softkey in the upper-right corner to access your contacts list from the main menu. In the contacts list, you can save name and contact information to your A640's memory card. If you press the "Talk" key while in the contacts list, you will call the contact that is highlighted.
- 4). Press the "Menu" key and select "Web" to access the Internet. From the main Web menu you can access instant messaging, downloads, news, weather and sports information. You can also press the OK button to open a web browser and type in a web address to which you would like to navigate.
- 5). Press "Menu" and select "Messaging" to access your phone's text messaging feature. Select "Send Message" and either input a phone number or choose the contact to whom you wish to send a message. Once your message is complete, simply press the softkey under the phrase "Send" to transmit your missive.
- 6). Change your phone's settings by pressing the "Menu" key and choosing the type of settings that you would like to modify. You can modify sound settings, display, default location, messaging settings, and setup phone and call options.
