How Is Paper Recycled?
Like many people I strongly believe in recycling as this can benefit short term and long term life.
Often people cannot be bothered with recycling but we've got to consider how the world will be for our children and grandchildren and we should do everything possible to help them lead an enjoyable and healthy life.
I've realised that although many people recycle and know why we recycle they don't know how things are recycled so I've written the following article to help inform you to how products are recycled.
I hope you find the following article informative and useful.
How is Paper recycled? Firstly paper is taken from your particular recycling bin and deposited into a large bin with paper from everyone's recycling bin.
This is then taken on a truck and dropped off at the recycle plant where it's then separated by people and machines into different types of paper and grades.
Once it's been separated it's then washed in a big bowl with soap and water which should remove plastic films, ink, staples and glue so the bowl is full of only paper.
Once this is done it's then turned into slurry so that it can be reformed into what's needed.
Different products will be added to the slurry to make different strengths of paper such as cardboard or office paper.
Large rollers are used to spread the slurry out so that it can be turned into large sheets of paper and cut accordingly.
The paper is then left to dry and can be reused again.
