How to Install a Brother Wireless Printer
- 1). Plug in and turn on your wireless printer. If your user guide recommends attaching the printer to the computer with a network cable during configuration, do so. Otherwise, proceed wirelessly.
- 2). Navigate through your printer menu until you find your network settings. Use the manual as a guide, if necessary. Here you'll choose whether to connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, if your printer supports both.
- 3). Enter your wireless network password, if prompted for it. If you're connecting with Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth on both your computer and printer. They will "discover" each other and you'll be shown a pass code to pair them.
- 4). Insert the installation CD that came with your printer into your computer. Run the installation wizard. If you have more than one computer on your network, you can install from any computer.
- 5). Manually add the printer if you don't have the CD. Open a document and choose "Print..." from the "File" menu. Click "Add a printer" and follow the instructions provided.
- 6). Print the document you just opened. Your Brother wireless printer is now installed.
