They plan various operational activities and ensure that their staff members perform essential day-to-day tasks. Rehab administrators prepare budgets and evaluate the performance of their institute on a regular basis in order to maximize their investment returns. • Doctors, psychiatrists and nurses are licensed medical professionals who play a key role in the operation of a rehab institute. A physician who specializes in substance abuse addiction evaluates rehab clients and recommends a treatment plan. • Individuals with advanced degrees can work in rehab research. Rehab jobs are available at hospitals, halfway houses, community mental health centers and correctional facilities. Depending on the rehab center, some positions may require professionals to work in specialized programs for young adults, women and men. Other rehab related jobs include recovery coach, educator, HIV supervisor and detox specialist. Formal education or certificate training is required for most positions in this field.
