    • 1). Connect the AC adapter and charge the camera if the power can't be turned on. The batteries may be depleted. This camera can also accept replacement charged batteries if it's more convenient to simply insert new, freshly charged batteries.

    • 2). Insert a Memory Stick if you can't shoot images. Try deleting some images if there is a Memory Stick inserted and the camera still won't shoot. The Memory Stick may be full. Other shoot problems can be flash-related--the camera won't shoot when the flash is charging.

    • 3). Set the Mode Selector to the Playback position if the image won't play back. The Playback position is the position marked by a playback-type arrow similar to the arrow you'd see on a CD player. The arrow icon is contained within a graphical box.

    • 4). Unlock the Memory Stick if the camera can't delete an image. Remove the Memory Stick and verify that the Memory Stick isn't set to the "Lock" position. Slide it off the "Lock" position if it is, then re-insert the Memory Stick, and try again.

    • 5). Turn the camera on if the computer doesn't recognize the Sony DSC-P92 camera. Make sure the batteries are fully charged; the USB cable is connected directly to the computer, not a hub; and the USB cable is firmly inserted. Then try to view the images on the computer again.
