- 1). Type the name of the author who took the image with last name first then first name. In parenthesis type the role of the author followed by a period. For example, Smith, Nancy (Photographer). If the image does not have an author, type the name of the image and the type of work in brackets followed by a period. For example, Flowers in Meadow [Photograph].
- 2). Type the year the image was created in parenthesis followed by a period. For example, (1999).
- 3). Type the title of the image and type of work followed by a comma and then the Month Day, and Year you retrieved the image followed by a comma. Use this format if you know the name of the author in Step 1. For example, Flowers in Meadow [Photograph]. June 1, 2009,
If you do know know the name of the author, type the Month Day, Year of retrieval followed by a comma. - 4). Type "from:" and then paste the URL of the Tumblr website where you retrieved the image.
