TV Show Miracles: "Answered Prayers
Does God still perform miracles today, as he did in ancient times? Are there any limits to God's power? What happens when people pray with faith in desperate situations? How do people's lives change when they experience dramatically answered prayers? The television show 'Answered Prayers' (TLC), hosted by Roma Downey, asks audiences those questions as it explores modern miracles that result from people praying and God answering.

The Premise
Host Roma Downey presents the stories of various real modern miracles that the people involved believe have happened because God has answered their prayers in miraculous ways. The show mixes actual video footage from the events, recreations of what participants and witnesses say happened, and interviews with people discussing the prayers and the resulting events that believers say were miracles. Viewers can decide for themselves whether or not they believe true miracles have occurred in each case.
The stories are all about what happened after people in life-threatening situations prayed for God's help. Stories are new each week, and include: family members who survive a major car crash that seems unsurvivable, a pastor who recovers even after being stabbed 37 times, a boy who is rescued after being buried for hours deep under sand, and a mother who hears a voice through clairaudience that warns her about a coming tornado in time for her to save her children.

A mother interviewed on the show: "We always ask God to lead us -- you know: 'Tell me what to do.' That day I had to follow him." (God warned her about a tornado and guided her about how best to protect her family.)
Roma Downey: "Life's greatest gifts are given to us when we need them the most."
A father interviewed on the show: "We needed a sign from God: Is this the right thing to do?...It was a God moment that we met Bill at that time." (God answered their prayers for guidance about whether or not to have their son's leg amputated, having them encounter Bill, a man who had a prosthetic leg and was walking and bicycling actively with it. Their son and Bill developed a close friendship.)
Roma Downey: "Where there is faith, there will always be hope."
Roma Downey: "I’m wondering if we can make more time to pray? None of us know what our lives might have been had we prayed more."
