How to Raise the Volume on QuickTime Files
- 1). Open your Web browser and visit the Apple QuickTime 7 Pro download page (apple.com/quicktime/extending/). Scroll down and click the "Buy For Mac" or "Buy For Windows" button on the left side of the screen.
- 2). Purchase the QuickTime 7 Pro component by clicking the "Buy Now" button on the right side of the screen. Run through the onscreen purchase instructions. Wait for your email from Apple containing the 20-digit registration code for upgrading to QuickTime Pro.
- 3). Open QuickTime Player. Click "Edit" > "Preferences" if on a PC or "File" > "Preferences" if on a Mac.
- 4). Enter the 20-digit code in the registration field and click "OK" to instantly upgrade QuickTime Player to QuickTime Pro.
- 1). Click "Edit" > "New Player Window" or "File" > "New Player Window." Load your file by dragging and dropping its icon directly into the empty QuickTime window.
- 2). Click the "Window" tab at the top of the screen and select "Show Movie Properties."
- 3). Select your audio track and click the "Audio Settings" button.
- 4). Drag the volume cursor to the desired level. Test the volume by clicking on your video's window and playing back the video while you adjust the settings.
- 5). Save your file by clicking out of "Movie Properties" and clicking "Edit" > "Save As" (if running Windows), or "File" > "Save As" (if on a Mac).
