In this economy you won't find too many people who are not interested in supplementing there income. Many couples who previously survived on one income while enjoying the benefit of having the other parent take care of the home and provide care to their children, are now having a difficult time financially. They may have to consider placing their children in daycare so both parents can work. With the cost of daycare and the obvious benefit to the children of having a parent at home, many parents are exploring alternate ways to make money from home.
In fact, most are probably searching online to find ways of making money from home. If you are considering making money from home, and you are searching the internet, why not consider making money online? If you have some decent computer skills and are willing to put in some long hours learning, then internet marketing may be a good choice for you. If you need to have a paycheck by next week, you should consider something else. Internet marketing can be very lucrative and profitable, but it does have a steep learning curve. You can start making money very quickly. Sometimes within a few days of starting. But generally not enough to support a family. It took me about six months before finding a system that worked for me.
In general, There are three broad categories of money making techniques:

1. Paid advertisements With this technique, we use Google's adsense system. Google uses specific keywords, and keyword combinations, like "Portable DVD Player" to allow merchants who are selling products and services to bid on these keywords on a "pay per click" format. The merchants can choose to have their Ad placed on Google's home page when someone searches Google for that keyword, or on individual websites that Google has determined match the keyword the merchant is targeting. That's where we come in. We research which keywords are potentially lucrative, then build a website or blog that focuses on providing good unique content and uses the targeted keyword we chose. The end result is that when someone visits your site, the clicks on a Google ad, you get paid. Period.


2. Affiliate Marketing As an affiliate marketer, you basically sell other peoples products and services. There is a lot of money to be made as an affiliate marketer. Many products offer fifty percent or better commission per sale, but it is also very competitive. There are a thousand different techniques to use to get an edge on the next guy. There is also no shortage of affiliate marketers trying to push the latest greatest internet marketing scheme to affiliate marketers. It can be a bit incestual. But there are a few really worthwhile tools and techniques that are worth the money. Most affiliate marketers join groups like "Clickbank" or "Pepperjam" to find products and services that offer good commission rates.


3. Product Creation By far the most profitable strategy for making money online is to create your own product and sell it. You can write an eBook, develop software, or just write a guide on how to solve some type of problem. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Once you have a product, then you can attract your own affiliates to sell it for you. The trick to getting good quality affiliates is having a product that sells easily and has a high commission rate.
