Instructions for a Blackberry 7520
- 1). Navigate the BlackBerry 7520 with its trackwheel. Roll it up or down to navigate horizontally; press the Alt key and roll the wheel to move vertically. To select multiple items, hold the Shift key and roll the trackwheel. During a call, roll it to adjust volume.
- 2). Make a call. Open the phone screen by pressing the spacebar. Type in a number, then press the Enter key. End a call by pressing the Escape button.
- 3). Learn to access the 7520's menus. To jump to an icon from the home screen, type the first letter of the icon's name. When you've selected an icon, press Alt and click the trackwheel to open additional menu options.
- 4). Practice navigating the web browser. Move a page down by pressing the spacebar; move up by holding Shift while pressing the spacebar. Press U to toggle between full screen and normal mode. Press O to open more options, R to refresh, Escape to close a page and H to return to the home screen. And as with many BlackBerry devices with trackballs or trackpads, T takes you to the top of a web page, and B to the bottom.
- 5). Be aware of available memory on the BlackBerry 7520. Because there is no memory expansion slot, your device will be limited to 32 megabytes of storage. Pressing Alt, CAP and H at the same time will open "Help Me," where you can check file free, as well as battery level, signal strength and information about your BlackBerry 7520. (ref 2)
