Xeon Quad Core Performance
- The clock speed, measured in megahertz (MHz) or gigahertz (GHz), is the frequency of the CPU's processing cycles. The X3210, X3220 and X3230 have clock speeds of 2.66, 2.4 and 2.13 GHz, respectively.
- The FSB (front-side bus) speed--also measured in MHz or GHz--refers to the processor's data transfer rate. All members of the Xeon 3200-series have a FSB speed rate of 1,066 MHz, or 1.6 GHz.
- With the power consumption of processors measured in watts (W), that of the X3230 is the lowest, at a maximum of 95W. The X3220 and X3210 have a higher maximum power-consumption rate, at 105W.
