    • 1). Remove the grounding cable from the negative battery lead post. Loosen the cable from the post with a 10mm wrench and rest it away from the negative battery terminal until the new stereo has been installed. Move to the cabin of the truck.

    • 2). Pull the main dashboard panel from the dashboard. Grab the panel at the top left corner, above and to the left of the instrument panel. Pull the panel from the dash. The panel will disconnect from the dashboard as you move your hands across the top of the panel. Set the panel aside until reinstallation.

    • 3). Remove the two 10mm bolts, one on each side of the stereo, with a 10mm socket and drive.

    • 4). Pull the stereo from the dashboard stereo dock far enough to reach the wiring connected to the rear panel of the radio.

    • 5). Pull the wiring bound by the gray and black connectors from the back of the stereo. Pull the black antenna cable from the back of the stereo.

    • 6). Insert the faceplate adapter from the installation kit into the opening of the stereo dock. Pull the detached stereo wiring and antenna cable from the dashboard.

    • 7). Connect the gray binder and black wire binder to the leads of the wiring harness adapter. Plug the wiring harness adapter into the outlets on the rear panel of the new aftermarket stereo. Plug the antenna cable into the FM antenna outlet on the rear panel of the stereo.

    • 8). Slide the new radio into the stereo mounting dock. Push the head unit into the dock until it snaps into place within the faceplate adapter. Screw in the two bolts on either side of the new faceplate adapter.

    • 9). Align the dashboard panel on the dashboard of the truck. Press firmly around the perimeter of the panel until the clips on the back side of the panel snap against the dashboard. Return to the engine compartment.
