Breakups leave people in the relationship torn, lonely and depressed.
It is a very painful experience because it signifies loss and broken dreams.
At the beginning of the relationship, there is a high level of romance, excitement, hopes and dreams for the future.
However, if such relationship comes to an end, a person feels stress, disappointment, grief and failure.
Getting oneself out of the painful experience is not an easy task.
Having to deal with sadness and the feeling of being alone is hard.
Yet, one can do some things to make the mending of a broken heart faster.
Mope for 24 hours.
After coming up with a painful decision of parting ways, one cannot be happy and be back to his or her old self in an instant.
It is then alright to spend your whole day, crying, sleeping eating ice cream and chocolates.
Never be guilty about being lazy the whole day.
If you do not do this, you might end up having emotional breakdown later in the week.
But, do not take this process for too long.
On the next day, gather all your courage and face the day with a smile on your face.
You already spent one whole day crying; it is now the time to move on.
Do not fight your feelings.
During a break up, it is normal to feel mixed emotions including anger, hatred, confusion, fear and resentment after all, your heart has been broken by the person you cherished the most.
Although these emotions are oftentimes too painful to handle, trying to push it at the back of your mind will just make the grieving process longer.
Find an outlet for your feelings.
Although it is difficult to share about how you feel to other people, it is one of the important ways to do to overcome the feeling of loss.
Sharing your feelings to other people lessens the feeling of being alone.
If you cannot afford to share your thoughts to others, keeping a journal and writing it down will also help.
Reconnect with loved ones.
Family will always be there even of the world turns their back on you.
Letting your family know about the break up will be helpful.
They can comfort you, encourage you, provide you with caring ear and give you advices.
Being with your family and friends will lessen the feeling of being alone.
Putting an end to a very great relationship is difficult and painful, but life does not end when relationship ends.
Face a new day with smile and keep in mind that moving on is your goal.
