Why Twitter? Well...
Earlier I never saw the point of twitter.
Status change, what fun is that? Would someone really care if I wrote "Right now I'm listening to Radiohead" or something like that.
But the last months, and especially the last days, due to some greet twitter training from the back office of CarbonCopyPRO, I've really got a change of heart towards this amazing social media module.
What is Twitter all about? Well, this is social media = The point is to be social.
Who are you, what are you thinking about, what are you interested in, what are you doing? Is there any possibility that the things you like and are interested in, could be valuable to someone else? Twitter is a phenomenal way to express your thought, to share what your doing.
And that's the point of it all.
Three words: Enlighten, Educate and Entertain.
If you just read a great interesting article or saw a fun video on YouTube, tweet it.
If you wrote something about your life or anything, tweet it.
Twitter is a great way to socialize and show people who you really are.
But what has this got to do with marketing? Well, if you are yourself, if you're active writing, linking, posting, you'll have something people value.
Remember, there are 1.
6 billion people on the internet, of course some of them must share your views or interests.
If you keep giving people valuable content, cool information, fun reading, then you'll be something to count on, you'll profile yourself on the internet.
So imagine this, you follow 6,000 people, (and you find them finding common interests), and, with the unsaid code of twitter saying you should follow back, you'll have what, something round 5,800 followers.
Think about it, when you tweet, when you share an interest or thought, 5,800 people are able to see that.
So if you tweet about your product, service or anything you want to market, 5,800 people will have direct access to your add --> and it hasn't cost you a nickel.
How much traffic do you think this generate to your business? It's no wonder DELL claims to have earned $ 3 Million from twitter posts since 2007 (2:47 in this great video: http://www.

) What's also great when using twitter as a marketing tool is the constant improvement of copy writing skills and creativity.
But remember.
Twitter is about sharing content, about the three E's (enlighten, educate, entertain).
Your main goal is to do this, to give people valuable content.
Be savvy and responsible.
