Give them high marks for having the courage to speak up.

After a breakup you will always want to return to the familiar.
Resist the urge to do this.
If your ex misses you and thinks that they made a mistake, they know where to find you.
So don't come up with some ridiculous excuse to make contact with them.
Instead, go do something for yourself.
Pick up a new sport, find a new hobby, keep yourself busy.
