How to Display My Computer Icon on the XP Desktop

    Right-Clicking Method

    • 1). Click "Start" in the lower-left corner of the Windows XP home screen.

    • 2). Right-click "My Computer."

    • 3). Click "Show on Desktop" in the context entry that appears to the right of the mouse. The My Computer icon appears on the desktop.

    Dragging Method

    • 1). Click "Start" in the lower-left corner of the Windows XP home screen.

    • 2). Click My Computer once with the left mouse and hold the left mouse button down.

    • 3). Move the mouse cursor to the desktop and then release the mouse button to drop the My Computer icon on the desktop as a desktop shortcut.
