How to Remove the Keyboard From a MacBook Pro
- 1). Turn off your MacBook Pro and disconnect the Apple charger. Close the lid. Turn the MacBook face down and remove the battery.
- 2). Remove the four screws from the top of the case. Then, remove the three screws from the top of the touchpad bay and two more screws opposite the touchpad bay screws.
- 3). Push the RAM clasps away from the memory stick with your fingers and slide the RAM module out of the MacBook. Remove the two screws by the memory module.
- 4). Flip open the top half of the case. Slowly peel the keyboard backing off of the laptop. Flip the keyboard cable lock level upright and remove the cable. Repeat this process with the other keyboard cable.
- 5). Rotate the keyboard hooks counterclockwise to completely remove the keyboard from the MacBook Pro.
