    • 1). Open the Nero program. If you don't already have Nero software, download it from their website and install it on your computer. Once installed, open the program and use the action-bar menu to select "File" and then "Preferences."

    • 2). Select "Expert Features" in the "Preferences" window. In some earlier versions of the program, "Expert Features" was called "Advanced Settings." Once in the "Expert Features" section, click on the "Enable Oversize Disc" feature.

    • 3). Select the "Maximum CD Length" option and then click "OK." The maximum value that can be entered is 82:59:59. There will be a warning that explains the risks associated with oversizing the disc. These risks include damage to the CD-Writer, lower quality of media on the disc and the possibility that a disc player will not be able to move its carriage far enough to play the oversized portions of the disc.

    • 4). Insert your CD-R into the disc drive. Go back to "File" on the action bar and select "CD Copy."

    • 5). Click "OK" when you see a window open that says the CD is bigger than 74 minutes. The program will begin copying your data onto the CD-R.
