- 1). Call DirecTV at 800-383-4388 and speak to a representative to find out who the MSO (master system operator) is for your region. You need to find your regional MSO to inquire about becoming a contractor for DirecTV. The MSO decides who becomes a DirecTV contractor, provides technical training, and administrative and marketing support.
- 2). Contact the MSO in your region and ask if they are currently accepting applications for contractors. Depending on the MSO, you may be prompted to leave your contact information and a representative will call you back.
- 3). Schedule an appointment to visit your MSO for an interview. Submit copies of all your credentials and complete the required forms during the interview process. You will be required to complete DirecTV training courses to ensure that you understand all the equipment.
- 4). Sign and date the contract if you are offered the opportunity to become a DirecTV sub-contractor. Make sure that you understand the fine print. Once you sign your contract a copy will be provided to you, and you'll be ready to start working as a sub-contractor for DirecTV. From here on DirecTV will provide you with customer appointments.
