Setting Up the Account from the BlackBerry

• 1). Press the BlackBerry logo menu button to display the full list of icons.
  
  
• 2). Click or tap the "Setup" icon, and open the "Personal Email Setup" option. The BlackBerry may prompt you to agree to a Terms of Service Agreement. Click or touch "I Agree" and "Yes."
  
  
• 3). Type your Verizon email address in the "Email Address:" box and the password in the "Password:" box.
  
  
• 4). Touch or click "Next." The BlackBerry will detect the settings and set up the account for you.
  
  
• 5). Press "Back" to return to the main screen. A folder with your Verizon email account will appear in the list of icons. Touch or click the icon to open your email inbox.
  
  

Setting Up the Account from a Computer

• 1). Open the Web browser on your computer and go to the BIS website for your carrier. The Verizon Wireless site is vzw.blackberry.com. You can find a list of other carriers' sites in the Resources section.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Create New Account" button, check the "I have read and understand the Legal Terms and Conditions." box, then click the "I Agree" button.
  
  
• 3). Type your BlackBerry's PIN and ESN or MEID number in the provided boxes. You can find the information in the phone under "Options" and "Status." Click "Continue."
  
  
• 4). Type your username and enter your password twice, then click "Next."
  
  
• 5). Select "Add an existing email account," and enter your Verizon email address and password. Click "Next" and "Finish."
