    Humane Mole Traps

    • 1). Locate the main tunnel that is still in use. It is not uncommon for moles to abandon tunnels and create new ones. To locate the tunnel that is still in use, flatten down a section of the tunnel and--if after a few days--that tunnel has been rebuilt you have found the main tunnel that is in use.

    • 2). Push the mole trap jaws into the main tunnel. Apply pressure to the yellow foot pedal to set the trap's trigger that is located below the surface inside the tunnel.

    • 3). Check the mole trap. When the yellow foot pedal is sticking up from the ground, a mole has been captured.

    • 4). Pull the mole trap out of the ground. Take the trap--and the mole--to the desired location. Press the safety release button to allow the mole out of the trap and into its new home. The mole trap can be reused in needed.

    Mole Bait

    • 1). Locate the main tunnel by flattening down a section of each tunnel. After a few days, the tunnel that the moles have built back up is the one that is still in use.

    • 2). Push several mole bait into various locations throughout the active tunnel. Typically, the bait will kill the mole 24 hours after it has consumed the bait.

    • 3). Alternatively, spray mole repellent inside and around the tunnels to keep moles from returning.
