What Kind of Paint Goes on Concrete?
Epoxy Paint
- Aside from changing the color of your concrete, epoxy can also help protect it. It covers and coats concrete to protect it from weather and other naturally occurring damage. If the concrete has small cracks, the epoxy paint will prevent them from growing. Epoxy is applied to the concrete much like regular paint and often only requires one coat. One drawback of using epoxy paint for concrete, however, is the lack of color selection. Additionally, the paint tends to yellow over time and must be reapplied each season to ensure the concrete is protected. Epoxy paint is recommended for indoor concrete areas such as garages or covered patios.
