How to Remove Primer from Linoleum
- 1). Open a door and window to create cross-ventilation.
- 2). Put on a pair of rubber gloves and a paint respirator.
- 3). Pour 1/2 inch of paint thinner into a 1-gallon bucket.
- 4). Dip a non-abrasive scrub pad into the thinner.
- 5). Scrub the primer paint with the scrub pad until it begins to soften.
- 6). Dip the scrub pad back into the paint thinner and then wring it out. Continue scrubbing the primer until every last bit is removed from the linoleum. Wringing the scrub pad out helps get the paint out of the scrub pad.
