    • 1). Sift or crush the garden soil until all the large clumps are reduced and the soil is of a fine consistency.

    • 2). Place the seeds in a tub or other container. Cover them with the same amount of dry, fine sand, 3 times the amount of humus and 5 times the amount of soil. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are combined.

    • 3). Add water, slowly, until the soil and seed mixture is moist enough to roll into balls.

    • 4). Remove enough of the mixture to form a half-inch-diameter ball. Roll it in the palms of your hands, for 10 seconds. Set the ball aside and form the next one and continue forming balls until all of the mixture is used.

    • 5). Lay the balls in an area where they will remain undisturbed, to dry, for 24 hours. They are now ready to broadcast.
