    • 1). Fill the AeroGarden unit water tank with clean, room-temperature water. Place the included starter nutrient tablets into the water tank and secure the lid.

    • 2). Insert the AeroGarden seedpods labeled "Cherry Tomatoes" into the planting holes located in the base of your AeroGarden unit.

    • 3). Turn your AeroGarden unit on, and press the button on the control panel labeled "Tomatoes/Peppers." Follow this by pressing the button labeled "Reset."

    • 4). Place the included plastic domes over every cherry tomato seedpod you inserted into the unit base.

    • 5). Remove the plastic domes from over the top of your seedpods after a few days, when small cherry tomato plants begin to emerge.

    • 6). Thin excess seedlings when your plants have reached a height of about 1 inch. Cut off the tiniest tomato plants at the bottom of the main stem with a pair of scissors.

    • 7). Refill the water tank and place two nutrient tables from the package labeled "Growing Nutrients" into the water every two weeks. Press the button labeled "Reset," after refilling the water tank and adding the nutrient tablets.

    • 8). Raise the grow light of your AeroGarden unit to accommodate the increasing height of your cherry tomato plants. There should be at least 1 inch of space between the light and your plants.

    • 9). Prune cherry tomato branches that drape over the edge of the AeroGarden platform with a pair of scissors. Snip back branches that come into contact with the grow light, if the light can't be set any higher. Make the cuts just above where the branches meet another branch. Pruning will most likely become necessary after four to five weeks of growing time.

Move the cherry tomato plants back and forth, gently but quickly, with your hand several times every other day to pollinate them. Make sure your grow light is on when you do this. Pollinating your cherry tomato plants should occur after the plants have bloomed, usually around a month after planting.
