  The Lenovo Thinkpad 2861-25U is a portable computer that is ready to run directly out of the box. It is a mid-size laptop best suited for businesses, both small and corporate. It is not only affordable, but works to network with other Lenovo series of laptops, including the ThinkPad X, T and A.
  
  

Processor

• The Thinkpad is affordable due to the low costs of the hardware. A 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron processor functions to carry out all instructions directed by the operating system.
  
  

Memory

• The ThinkPad comes with 128 MB of DDR SDRAM. It is a substantially smaller amount, and older technology, than the current standard, as of October 2010, of DDR3 memory.
  
  

Hard Drive

• The included hard drive is based on IDE technology. The standard is 20 GB, and is suitable to hold a few programs along with the operating system. It is optimized for Windows XP and is included with the laptop when shipped.
  
  

Screen

• The TFT Active Matrix screen is 14.1 inches. The maximum supported resolution is 1024 by 768, but can be expanded to 2048 by 1536 if an external monitor is connected through the VGA port.
  
  

Connectivity

• Connect to the Internet through the included network card. It does not have wireless integrated, because it was built before Wi-Fi was standard. You can plug in an Ethernet cable for high-speed Internet or use the 56k modem for traditional dial-up connections.
