How to Free Up Memory on a Memory Stick

1). Insert the memory stick into the memory card slot on the computer. If there is no compatible slot, you can insert the card into a memory card reader. The reader connects to the computer with a USB cable.
2). Click "Open folder to view files" in the AutoPlay window. If there is no AutoPlay window, go to the "Start" menu and select the "Computer" folder. Double-click on the drive that represents the memory stick or memory card reader.
3). Right-click on a file that you want to delete from the memory stick. Select "Delete." To remove the file from the stick but save it, select "Cut." Then right-click in an empty space in a folder on the computer and select "Paste."
