- 1). Plug one end of an HDMI cable into one of the "HDMI In" ports on the back of your HDTV. Plug the other end of that same cable into the "HDMI Out" port on your HD cable box.
- 2). Plug one end of the second HDMI cable into another "HDMI In" port on your HDTV and plug the other end into the back of your DVD recorder. There should only be one HDMI port on the DVD recorder. If there is more than one, make sure you use the "HDMI Out" port.
- 3). Plug one end of the A/V cable into the "Cable Out" ports on the back of the HD cable box. Make sure you line up the corresponding colors correctly. Plug the other end of that cable into the "Cable In" ports on the back of the DVD recorder.
