    • 1). Remove the dash panel from your car. Dash panels are held on with either clips or screws. If you do not find any screws, use a flat head screwdriver to pry around the edges of the panels. Wrap the head of the screwdriver with tape so you do not scratch the dash.

    • 2). Locate the back of your car radio. Find the auxiliary input lines--red and white plugs that look like the plugs in the back of a DVD player.

    • 3). Plug the y-cable in to the back of the stereo. Find a convenient location for your MP3 player, such as the glove box. Snake the cable behind the dash components and into the glove box and leave enough cable inside for easy reach. Tuck all of the excess cable behind the dash so that it will fall behind the panel, out of sight.

    • 4). Replace the dash panel. Snap all of the clips or screw all of the screws back in to place. Secure all of the connections so the dash will not rattle.

    • 5). Connect your MP3 player by using the auxiliary cable. You can now turn on your radio and player and you will be able to listen to your MP3 player through your car stereo.
