How to Change Computer BIOS
- 1). Visit the Resource link for a list of the keyboard keys you will need to press to enter your BIOS. The list is organized by make and model, so be sure to have those handy. If your computer is not listed on the website, proceed to the next step.
- 2). Restart your computer. Press the appropriate key when a message appears saying something similar to "Press F2 to enter BIOS" or "Press [DEL] to enter setup." If the message indicates that you're supposed to press a different key from the one on the list, press the key in the message.
- 3). Reboot your computer if you missed the chance to press the key. BIOS settings are only reachable for the first couple seconds during a computer's boot process. It's not unusual to miss the appropriate time to press the key a couple times.
- 4). Press the appropriate key at the appropriate time or tap the key regularly as you reboot. The screen should change and show your BIOS settings.
