- 1). Turn the pool filter on. Open the skimmer assembly and remove the skimmer basket.
- 2). Connect the vacuum head to one end of the pool hose. Insert the telescopic pole onto the vacuum head attachment. Drop the vacuum assembly into the pool.
- 3). Insert the vacuum attachment into the skimmer where the skimmer basket was. Place the other end of the hose near the pool's return jet and fill the hose with water to prevent too much air from getting inside the filter. When the hose is full, connect the loose end of the hose onto the vacuum attachment inside the skimmer.
- 4). Wait a few minutes for the pressure to build in the vacuum, especially with a pool this large, which requires a longer-than-average vacuum hose.
- 5). Vacuum the pool systematically and slowly so you don't kick up too much dirt that will cloud the pool and make it harder to clean. When finished, disconnect the vacuum assembly and replace the skimmer basket.
