    • 1). Seal any cracks or openings in the copper container with silicone sealant. Let it dry. Select a copper container that is at least 12 inches in diameter for the water fountain.

    • 2). Stand the sealed copper container in your yard or garden in the desired location of the water fountain. Insert the 3-foot long rebar pole into the ground beside the copper container. The top of the rebar pole should be 1 inch below the top rim of the copper container.

    • 3). Cut a 3- to 4-foot length of copper pipe. This length represents the overall height of your coffee pot water fountain. Adjust the length as desired. Measure the width of the opening of the copper container. Cut a length of copper pipe half as long as the width of the opening.

    • 4). Measure the height of the copper container. Measure and mark the same distance from one end of the longest copper pipe. Drill a 1/2-inch diameter hole halfway through the pipe at the mark. Drill a 1/4-inch diameter hole through one side of the shortest copper pipe, 1 inch from one end. Drill a 1/2-inch diameter hole straight through the copper pipe 1 1/2 inches from the end.

    • 5). Attach the 90-degree copper fitting to the end of the longest pipe that is opposite the 1/2-inch hole. The elbow angle should be facing the same direction as the hole. Attach the short pipe to the elbow end of the fitting; the hole should be on top of the pipe. Use waterproof construction adhesive to connect the fitting to the pipe. Allow the adhesive to dry overnight.

    • 6). Fit the open end of the longest copper pipe over the rebar pole. The angled strip of pipe should be over the copper container. Attach a copper S hook to the hole on top of the short copper pipe. Hang a copper coffee pot from the base of the S hook. The coffee pot should fall over the center of the copper container.

    • 7). Place a submersible water fountain pump inside the copper container. Drape the power cord over the side, near the copper pipe and run it to the power outlet. Do not plug it in.

    • 8). Cut a 5-foot length of flexible plastic tubing. Attach one end of tubing onto the pump spout. Secure the tubing to the pump with a strip of duct tape. Fit the tubing through the 1/2-inch hole in the copper pipe and feed it up to and out of the 1/2-inch hole just before the S hook. Continue to feed the tubing into the coffee pot.

    • 9). Fill the coffee pot with water until it begins to overflow into the copper container. Fill the copper container with water up to 2 inches from the top rim. Plug in the water fountain pump. The pump will force the water through the plastic tubing and into the coffee pot, which will overflow continuously into the container.
